County of Hillsdale Press Release About Accident on February 17, 2026.
(Feb 20, 2026) On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at approximately 12:30 pm, a Hillsdale County Maintenance / Facilities Department employee was involved in a motor vehicle accident in downtown Hillsdale while driving a County maintenance vehicle. The other individual involved received emergency medical treatment and was transported to a hospital in another county. The employee involved is presently on leave. The matter remains under investigation by the Michigan State Police, and no charges or tickets have been issued at this time. Hillsdale County is cooperating with this investigation. The County and its officials and staff wish for the safe and speedy recovery of the individual involved in the accident.
